THIS PRIVATE GOLF ENCLAVE was an immediate success when it debuted to rave reviews in 2001. Membership is by invitation only and real estate opportunities are exclusive. There are just 41 home sites on the property and the development harkens back to the roots of gentile Southern tradition.

Chechessee Creek Club golf course architects Ben Crenshaw and Bill Co-ore were presented a lush canvas of a mature Low Country maritime forest and carved out a masterpiece. The developers' intent was to demonstrate that clas-sic golf course design could not only exist at sea level, but could flourish if certain time-honored techniques were put into practice. The result is a time-less, low-profile course that is a pleasure to walk and play.

Members also enjoy one of the game's great traditions via the club's caddie program. Caddies are mandatory from the first tee time in the morning until the early afternoon and add a level of camaraderie and enjoyment missing from many of America's private golf clubs.
