Near Ocean Communities

These communities are located on Hilton Head Island, but require you to leave the confines of the neighborhood to gain access to the Atlantic Ocean beaches. Still, most of these communities offer direct deep water access to the Calibogue and Port Royal Sounds or other estuaries and the beach is just a short drive away.

A multitude of amenities are typically offered in these communities, including championship golf, private tennis, marinas and deep water home-sites, walking trails, and posh full-service clubhouses.

These communities are gated and manned by private security personnel, thus providing a safe and quiet environment. Short-term rentals are prohibited and as such most residents are full-time in nature.
