The first ever teaming of Jack Nicklaus and his son, Jack Nicklaus II, The Golf Club course is designed in a classic style that hearkens back to "Golden Age" creations like Pine Valley, Shinnecock Hills and Augusta National. Named "One of the Top Ten Private Courses of 1996" by Golf Digest, The Golf Club course is reserved exclusively for members and their guests.

Directions

Located near the north end of the Island in Indigo Run Plantation. The plantation entrance is located between mile markers 3 and 4 on William Hilton Parkway (Hwy 278 Business).

Since it's opening in 1992, the Golden Bear at Indigo Run has become a "Must Play" for Hilton Head Island. This Nicklaus-designed course is well known for its Low Country beauty & its wide variety of shot-making requirements.

The Golden Bear is the ONLY course on the island to offer a state-of-the-art ParView GPS Electronic Caddy System on every cart. With many technological features, the system aids the golfer with full color features, such as overviews of each hole, pro tips on how to best play the hole, live scoring for groups and more!

Directions

Located in Indigo Run Plantation. From the bridge at Hwy 278, follow onto Island and follow the Hwy 278 business road. Take the main entrance to Indigo Run Plantation on your right and ask the gate guard for a pass to the Golden Bear Golf Club. Follow the signs to the Golden Bear Golf Club.
